This summer, I ripped out a patch of mugwort and replaced it with some pollinator species along the side of my house. I am also working on adding more and more native pollinator plants and ensuring that my husband leaves volunteer plants around the yard, such as goldenrod, asters, and milkweed. I have planted Asclepias tuberosa and Asclepias syriaca together and have seen many monarchs and caterpillars, along with tussock moths and milkweed beetles. I am continuing to add mountain mints and bee balms to the yard.
