I have several diverse garden areas on my property from sunny perennial beds to woodlands and shaded areas. There is a garden bed visible from every window in my home. The videos of bees in my extensive native aster plantings compared to the absence of bees on a gorgeus aster cultivar last summer has demonstrated the importance of planting true native species for pollinators. I never tire of watching the hummingbirds, bees and butterflies around my home and enjoying the numerous bird species attracted by the trees, shrubs and flowers in my care.
