The pollinator garden in front of Barnstable Land Trust’s Conservation Center on Route 6A in West Barnstable features Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa), Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), Showy Goldenrod (Solidago speciosa), Sundial Lupine (Lupinus perennis), Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana), Inkberry Holly (Ilex glabra), New Jersey Tea (Ceanothus americanus), and Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta). Also beneficial are a few plants that are native to the United States (though not to the region) including: Moss Phlox (Phlox subulata), Oakleaf Hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia), Dwarf Blue False Indigo (Baptisia australis var. minor), and Anise Hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) which support butterflies, bees and moths as well as other pollinators.
