Habitat Hill comprises over 2,000 square feet of native shrubs and plants on two steep slopes between the Darien Town Hall and the Mather Center. Plants include Red Columbine, Pink Tickseed, Short-toothed Mountain Mint, Wild Bergamot, Anise Hyssop, Goldenrod, Clethra and Viburnum. Signage explains the significance of native plants and the importance of pollinators. We installed benches so that visitors can sit and enjoy the gardens and birdhouses for feathered visitors. We hope you will stay a while!
We have a native plant for each visitor while supplies last.
