Garden Tour

In newly-revitalized green spaces, American history, sustainability and diverse cultural narratives meet. Nearly 3 acres of stone-walled "rooms" are filled with a palette of stunning, drought-resistant shrubs, grasses and wildflowers selected by award-winning landscape architect Thomas Woltz. Parterre plantings of sage and ilex, roses, and 16 raised herb and vegetable beds illustrate the Agrarian and Picturesque periods; followed by a sensory garden room with fragrant perennials and a reflecting pool. A 90-foot rose-covered arbor is surrounded by 28 native species that attract monarchs, skippers and swallowtails.
