234 Plank Rd
We have a woodlot with red oak, shagbark hickory, sugar maple, linden basswood, sumac, aspen, birch, amelanchier, dogwoods, cherries, and others. We are working to remove invasive species from the woodlot. We planted two meadows at roughly 3,000 square feet each to reduce our lawn, seeded with native wildflowers. Flowers include wild bergamot, lupies, lobelia, nodding pink onion, sneezeweed, four species of milkweed, goldenrods, asters, coreopsis, yarrow, violets, golden alexanders. We have also been planting native shrubs around the property including white snowberry, black chokecherry, chokeberry, meadow rose, carolina rose, american hazelnut, vibernums and others. There are too many to list.
