Windham is committed through a Resolution to protecting the land along the rivers and trails as Pollinator Pathways. LMK what you think of my estimate of land size: .9 sq mi of water x 2 (banks of the rivers mostly have trails alongside) = ~ 2 square miles. + .5 miles of trail not next to river x 30' wide = 1.5 square miles. + Misc pocket gardens. Total 3.5 square miles of trails and water = 2250 acres of land. Some is town-owned, some is privately-owned, most is forested.
