About the event
Learn to plant for a pollinator-friendly habitat in your yard, with abundant blossoms for pollinators - and you to enjoy.
"If you grow it, they will come!"
Loss of habitat is causing inset populations (and the birds that feed on them) to crash. A diverse and pesticide-free habitat in our own yards supports the very creatures we cannot live without...not to mention, providing a source of beauty and joy for ourselves. Learn what to plan to create a pollinator paradise of your own. This talk also discusses sustainable practices, such as advice on habitat-friendly yard care. This lecture will be taught by UConn Advanced Master Gardener Alice Ely.
This pollinator series talk is sponsored by Wakeman Town Farm and Westport's Pollinator Pathway. Registration required.
