Our yard is a sunny, south facing hillside with nearly 70% native plant species, largely flowering perennials. We see many bees, butterflies, and other benefinal insects throughout the growing season starting in early spring through the late fall. We have installed watering holes for the insects as well. We are excited to share our yard with our pollinator visitors to increase the population of native insects and plants alike. Wide variety of native flowering perennials, trees include eastern redbud, Tupelo, and oaks. Adding new native shrubs like the American hazelnut, chokeberries, and maple leaf viburnums.
