Pollinator Pathway
Paonia

Welcome to the Paonia Pollinator Pathway
The Western Slope Conservation Center is installing public, demonstration pollinator gardens and providing region-specific educational resources on pollinators to inspire and enable our community to build pollinator habitat in their backyards, parks, and community gardens. With its highly agricultural community and unique ecology, the North Fork Valley is a critical location for Pollinator Pathways.

Western Slope Conservation Center
204 Poplar Ave, Paonia, CO 81428
This demonstration pollinator garden showcases the elements needed to create pollinator habitat in urban/suburban spaces, with special emphasis on insect pollinators. Formerly a gravel strip, the garden was installed in spring of 2026 with native plants, sticks and logs, and a bee waterer to provide pollinators with the resources they need to thrive. The garden includes a variety of colors, scents, and textures to attract people and pollinators alike.
Come visit us to observe pollinators at work, watch our native flora grow, and get insipiration for your own garden! The garden is located in front of the Western Slope Conservation Center's office and is accessible by sidewalk.
