Weston Pollinator Pathway
Initially inspired by the Wilton Garden Club and the NRWA, and then further inspired by the leading efforts of Aspetuck Land Trust (ALT) and the Hudson to Housatonic Regional Conservation Partnership (H2H) which seeks to preserve large tracts of land between the Hudson and Housatonic Rivers in New York and Connecticut, the town of Weston is proud to participate in the Pollinator Pathway.
Lachat Town Farm, The Weston Garden Club and Sustainable Weston, have joined forces to present a series of events, dedicated to learning how to co-exist in our country town. Weston has an abundance of natural resources, and this is a timely reminder of how to become better stewards of our land.
Weston plays a pivotal role in the Pollinator Pathway / Green Corridor. We connect to many towns; Wilton, Westport, Fairfield, Easton, and Redding. We have two major waterways running through our town, and we have an abundance of preserves and woods. Together, we can create a diverse ecosystem in our backyard that will connect pollinator-friendly properties and towns.
