Two residential City Lots; one dedicated in part as a neighborhood open space for Native Plants and a Pollinator Garden, the second a developed lot which also has dedicated space for pollinator habitat. Four years into the restoration of this formerly mowed and heavily sprayed vacant lot and traditionally tended yard with lawn, exciting things are becoming apparent. Like a caterpillar in metamorphosis, inch by inch these parcels of land are transforming into welcome habitat for pollinators and birds. Appreciative neighbors show interest in seeing the habitat evolve. In doing so, they learn more about the importance of creating habitat!
