Our "3 year plan" mulch garden started with a first year of sheet mulching, second year planting most moslty weeding, and the third year saw the best and most sustained growth, and now its just maintance and adding decoratives, like marigolds etc.
It is primarily cornflower, apple mint, alpine aster, garden cosmos, common periwinkle, hop clover, and decorative grasses.
Our mulch garden is about 50 feet long and narrow, and the further edge of the property. We are ready to replicate it, and add more elswhere.
