There are 5 different smaller gardens on the property. The lower level wet area only has an Elderberry bush and Willow tree. On the upper level in the back of the house, there are two strip gardens. The strip along the stone wall has Senstive ferns, tall Phlox, Anise hyssop, Common Evening Primrose, Common Milkweed, Lindheimer's Bee Blossom, Tall Blue Lettuce, Butterfly weed, Orange Coneflower, Hollow Joe Pye weed and Coreopis. The strip along the house wall has Cutleaf Coneflower, Butterfly weed, Slender Mountain mint, Queen of the Prairie, Wild Bergamont, White Campion, Tall Tickseed and Lakespur. In the front of the house, the shade strip has ferns, Blue Wood Aster, Crevice Alumroot, Red Turtlehead, False buck's Beard, Giant Goldenrod and a Great Laurel Rhodendron. The front yard sun garden has Spotted Joe Pye Weed, Wild bergamot, Lemon Bee Balm, White Yarrow, Cutleaf Coneflower, Common Evening Primrose, Deptford Pink, Cardinal Flowr, Butterfly weed, Yarrow, Mountain Mint and Orange Coneflower.
