Over the past few years, we have repaced/added native plants to our garden beds. This year we removed a circular portion of our front lawn and planted various native plants/shrubs.
Joe Pyeweed, dwarf bush honeysuckle, foam flower, white wood aster, St. John's Wort, common blue violet, labrador violet, butterfly weed, purple coneflower, black eyed susan, river birch, mountain laurel. We let horse weed and lamb's quarters sow and spread naturally. Also goldenrod and thread leaf coreopsis grow freely in some of the beds.
