Backyard gardens and woods consist primarily of shrub and plant species added by my family over the past 7 years. We have over 100 different species of native plants and continue to add more. Reduced turf grass by at least half and continue to leave the leaves to establish more woodland garden beds in the northern/front facing side of the house which gets part sun and mostly shade. We continue to remove invasives every year - garlic mustard, wineberry, Norway maple, oriental bittersweet and rose of Sharon are our biggest headaches.
