Our garden is extremely small, limited to a hill which comprises our front yard. It is separated by a sidewalk and stairs leading to our front porch. The city tore out our front yard during the pandemic and backfilled with rocky, clay filled soil which they topped with cheap sod that was full of invasive weeds. The grass died and nothing else would grow there until I began planting native species.

Our garden features trilliums, bloodrood, solomon's seal, star lilly, prickly pear, stinging nettle, morning primrose, native echinacea, hackberry, Paw Paw saplings, Pin oaks, goldenrod, milkweed, and native white aster.
