The Museum includes the following Native plants throughout the campus: swamp milkweed, butterfly milkweed, beebalm, goldenrod, staghorn sumac, black eyed susans, mountain mint, purple coneflower, beach plums, blackberries, gooseberries, sunflowers, jerusalem artichokes, joe pye weed, choke cherry, serviceberry, white yarrow and many more. Many of these Native plants are found in the Wampanoag managed landscape of the Historic Patuxet Homesite. The Museum also maintains 17th century English gardens with flowering English medicinal and culinary herbs like calendula, marshmallow, borage, feverfew, chamomile, etc. that act as pollinators.
