The southern 2,000 sq. ft. portion of this property was previously overgrown with invasive plants including mugwort, porcelain berry, oriental bittersweet and Norway maple. Beginning in 2021, these were removed mechanically while pre-existing native species were left alone and allowed to reseed. Additional native species were seeded and planted in 2024 and 2025.



Scarlet Oak, Scrub Oak, Black cherry, Gray Birch, Evening primrose, Goldenrod, Monarda, Black eyed Susan, Lance-leaved Aster, New England Aster, Blue Wood Aster, Swamp Milkweed, Partridge Pea, Golden Alexander, Sundial lupine (Lupinus perennis), Woodland Sunflowers (Helianthus spp.), Virginia creeper, Aronia, low bush blueberry, high bush blueberry, black huckleberry, beach plumb, and more.
