I have been trying to incorporate native plant trees, shrubs, and plants into our farm. Our biggest threat is the amount of invasive plants on the property. It is impossible to eradicate them without pesticides which we do not use.
Trees: Black walnut, Red Oak, White Oak, Black Cherry, Red Maple, Pignut Hickory, Shagbark Hickory, Paw Paw, Black Elderberry, River Birch, Honey Locust, Catalpa, Staghorn Sumac
Shrubs: High bush blueberry, Common Winterberry, Wild Raspberry, Pussy willow, Witch Hazel
Plants: Lobelia, Goldenrod, Aster, Bee Balm, Viola
