We have a mature Scarlet Oak in back and a towering Tulip Tree on the north property line. The back is a mostly native shade garden under the Oak, while the mix of mostly native shrubs and perennials in front are a bit more sun loving, especially the treeless hellstrip (one has a small Hawthorn tree, as does the front yard). We have a raised bed for veggies, a patio, a stone circle, and some paths. All else is semi-wild garden(s).
