We have more than 20 keystone species on our property. These include: Oak, snowberry, huckleberry, currants, California lilac, manzanita, native strawberry, native honeysuckle, thimbleberry, sagebrush, mugwort, buckwheat, milkweed, Dutchman's pipevin

This 1,500 sq. ft. native plant garden is in the front, and on the side and back of the house. In the front garden are a large coast live oak and buckeye tree, which we planted 30 and 25 years ago, respectively.
The front and side gardens were planted with natives in 2022, after a major home remodeling project destroyed the existing garden.
The back garden was planted with natives in 2009. The back garden also contains a large pond with a waterfall that runs 12 hours a day.

With permission, I have also been planting, weeding, and watering the front garden of the rental property next door.
