My is a long rectangle l-shaped. Thee house is on a incline and faces north, othe back slopes west a bit and my neighbors to the west share a perenniel garden border approx. 12 feet wide, opening another 6 feet at the southern 1/3 of my property. WE have fruit trees, blackberries, dogwood and some bushes interspersed. the rest of my yard is bordered by 12 to 20 foot borders of mainlly perennials interspersed with native bushes The east property border is a 7 ft white solid fence.
Native plants for every season from shade to sun. More shade or semi-shade than full sun. I have a beautiful witch hazel tree in the front along with native bushes and dogwoods. I also have a rain garden on the east side along the house. It is a work of 50 years.
