When we bought the house, it had only invasive English ivy, knotweed, and some dying yews. We have been adding plants each year since, starting with the beds in the front, then the "hellstrip," then side beds, and finally the backyard. Rabbits are a constant problem so I try to choose "rabbit resistant" species when possible.
