Upon entering the driveway to the left is a raised area which has many native plants in a wild setting. Here the focal point is a large old Oak tree which canopies over small shrubs and trees. there are peonie, goldenrod, aster, ferns, grasses and lillies. To the left of the home and circling into thee back area is a bed of wild 75 year old roses and a rock garden of Joe Pye weed, butterfly weed, lavender, fennel, mountain mint, stonecrop sedu, echinace, black eyed susan and dogwood. There is a wooded area behind this which is wild and has maples, oaks, dogwood, spicebush, verbena, native azale, digitalis, goldenrod. The front and sides of the house have native plantings of

Joe Pye weed, echinace, monarda fistulosa and punctata, black eyed Susan, blue wood aster, blue lobelia and sneezeweed.

A woodland garden with a path that weaves through this part off the property has many native ferns, a paw paw tree, red columbine, blue and white wood aster, peonies, New England aster, spice bush, spirea, turtlehead, False Solomon seal, 5 kinds of solidago and tall meadow rue.

It has been a work in progress and I'm so proud to have turned these areas into 80% native!
