My garden is on a public footpath so I encourage the buddleia, rosemary and roses to overspill the boundary fence for passersby.
Original planting 1 peony, 1 fuschia and I unscented rose, I conifer. Over 9 years most successful planting is gateway border: 1 buddleia, 1 rosemary bush, 1 scented rose. Bay window -- lavatera, sage. East boundary fence thornless blackberry. House wall borders lavender bush, rhubarb (leafcutter bees have loved this this past two years.).
