There are non-natives which I am replacing as time, money, and weather permits. I also have a small pond which I hope to turn into a larger pond in the next few years. The back 1/3 is left to nature with me trying to introduce native species as I go.
Milkweed, redbud, paw paw, Queen of the prairie, Oaks (swamp, pin), Maples (sugar, red, black, silver), indigo, wild bergamot, coneflower, evening primrose, cup plant, ironweed, dogwood, black walnut, white pine, jewelweed, phlox, goldenrod, common violet, Virginia creeper, hawthorn, and more.
