We live mostly on ledgestone, so we chose plants that live in shallow sandy soil.
I planted native seeds and have a large variety of natives, including Eupatorium perfoliatum, Solidago, Symphoricarpus novae-angliae, Monarda didyma, and many other perennials and native shrubs
Cephalanthus, Amelanchier canadensis, Ilex glabra, Aronia, Ceanothus americanus, Hydrangea quercifolia, plus many more.
