One half of the property is planted in a series of terraced garden beds for vegetables combined with a large native wildflower field that replaced a 1/10 acre lawn, plus six sustainable guild plantings surrounding heirloom fruit trees. The other half of the property remains in native forest, including walnut, cherry and maple upper story trees, with redbud, pawpaw and sumac among the margin woody plants.
