I live on the Saugatuck River so I've never used pesticides. I also have a field in front of my house, and Monarch butterflies are back again, as are the bluebirds roosting in the bird box we made for them last year (they were nesting in my gutters, and kept having their nests and eggs washed out during big rains!)
