Our House lot is surrounded mainly by mature oak/hickory forest that is wonderful food source to many native caterpillars. Have left my front and side yards to grow with only native plants...many have self sown. Lots of Common Milk Weed that attracts Monarch butterflies and other pollinators. We never use any pesticides or herbicides.
