Two gardens in the median of a boulevard, 16th St , in the city of Watervliet NY which is home to the longest continually operated Army arsenal in the US. Founded in 1788, Watervliet is on the Hudson river in NY just north of Albany NY. Watervliet served as an integral part of the Erie Canal which facilitated westward expansionof the US in the 1800s. Two rectangular gardens comprising 50% of the median.
