We planted a small (7'x10') garden to welcome pollinators two years ago. We have been adding to it from the local native plant sales as well as rescuing natives from our fields that get hayed.
We have plans to tarp cover a half acre field and plant native flower seeds to increase pollinator resources.
Flowers in the small garden include: Shrubby St. John's Wart, Purple Coneflower, Butterfly Bush, Cornflower, Goldenrod, White-panicle Aster, Garden Phlox, NE Aster, Swamp Milkweed, Showy Milkweed, HollyHocks, and Bigleaf Lupine.
