Mine is a natural yard with 4 pollinator gardens in different stages of development, mostly planted with natives. The back garden is anchored by a River Birch and extends the wodth of my yard. The backyard right garden and front bed were started last year and partially planted. The backyard left garden is being prepared for plantings this Fall. The lawn is natural, allowed to grow long, and no herbicides or pesticides are used.
River Birch, Red Maples, Red Bud sapling, six Southern wax myrtles, Virginia Sweetspire, NY Ironweed, common milkweed, butterfly weed, black-eyed susan, coneflower, sawtooth mountainmint, golden ragwort, fleabane, spiderwort, coral honeysuckle, green and gold, blue mistflower, little bluestem, bee balm, Joepye weed, New England aster, violets as native ground cover.
