Suburban yard, chemical-free for the third year now. Have been removing ornamental invasives and planting native plants for about five years now, season by season, plant by plant.
Plants the pollinators have really taken to: butterfly weed, swamp milkweed, Joe Pye weed, anise hyssop, abelia (not native but the butterflies and moths love it), giant blue lobelia, cardinal flower (red lobelia), whirled milkweed, liatris, bluestar, blue mist flower, oak leaf hydrangea, golden ragwort, rose mallow, hairy beardtongue, bee balm, several flavors of goldenrod.
Some that were not as successful (either didn't thrive, or got mowed down by deer): Green and gold, foam flower, huechera, iron weed, asters, several types of sage and salvia.
