Three acres of pasture and forest being restored into functional native habitat.
My woods have a predominately red maple canopy, with spicebush, jack in the pulpits, skunk cabbage, may apples, white wood aster, sedges, and ferns reclaiming the space I've freed from Japanese barberry, garlic mustard, and lesser celandine. My field of heath aster, little bluestem, wild strawberries, and sweetfern, is growing more with each season, and the blue toadflax is abundant.
