I have planted as many native species as I can find. I buy plants which have not been treated with neonnicotinoids, and have not been hybridized. I plant for the insects and the birds. I have been trying to reduce the lawn, that I first found here, at the property, and am planting more native grasses such as Little Blue Stem, along with other natives. I am also battling invasive non native plants. Trying to plant more trees, although my space is limited. I live next to an open area owned by the city, I live in. They insist on having only grass, grown there.
