My challenge is that I live withing an HOA. I am working to reduce my lawn, I use no herbicides / pesticides and am working to get my gardens close to 100% natives. My biggest successes to date are documenting an American Bumble Bee as well as an Endangered Rusty Patch Bumble bee and submitting those sightings to the WI Bumble Bee Brigade. I have also registered my yard with Homegrown National Parks and have it registered as a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat.
Spotted Joe Pyeweed, Bee Balm, Culver's Root, Downy Wood Mint, Native Thistle, Wine Cup, Mountain Mist, Great Blue Lobelia, Cup Plant, numerous Golden Rods, Whirled Milkweed, Tall Green Milkweed, Purple Milkweed, Service Berry shrubs, Elderberry shrubs, Shrubby St. John's Wort, Rosa Carolina, Pasque Flowers, Golden Alexander, Pussy Toes, Ohio Spiderwort, Spotted Bee Balm, White and Pink Turtlehead, Bottle Gentian, Blue Vervain, Blue Sage, Columbine, Purple Prairie Clover, Prairie Smoke, Nodding Onion and more - these are off the top of my head
