I have stop mowing areas of my yard we are going on 5 years! They are thriving beautiful areas I have put out bee friendly and polinator family plants and usually plant anywhere from 100 new plants a years in my yard/ gardens. I also have my own bees. I have planted over 100 trees since I have moved in 2012 and countless bushes and flowers and try to stay mainly native plants to the region.
Rebekah, tulips, rose bushes, exlchenacia, giant cone flower, pear and apple trees, herb gardens, native grass areas that contain chicory and queens Ann lace and other native plants, I also let the giant ragweed grow in areas as I know the birds will eat the seed later and tons of golden rod.
