We’ve planted milkweed to support monarch butterflies and recently added a Pipevine plant to welcome swallowtails. A Winter Cassia blooms brightly and reliably attracts sulphur butterflies, filling our garden with movement and color throughout the seasons.
As a family, we’ve also had the joy of raising monarch caterpillars in outdoor carriers—watching their transformation up close and releasing them together once they were ready. These moments have deepened our respect for nature’s rhythms and reminded us how even small gardens can play a meaningful role in supporting wildlife.
