Old hay field (3 acres?) allowed to return to native plant meadow, with hand-cutting of invasive bushes/trees and partial mowing of areas on subsequent years. Small wetland meadow and small dug pond and gardens adjoin field, all surrounded by old pine stand and hardwood forest. Meadows were full of goldenrod, asters, primrose, thistle, and other native flowers this summer.
