Beaverton City Library
12375 SW 5th St, Beaverton, OR 97005, USA
The Beaverton City Library pollinator site builds on existing landscaping by adding native and pollinator-friendly understory plants around established shrubs. The garden includes a mix of evergreen structure, flowering perennials, and sedge grasses that provide seasonal nectar, shelter, and habitat for bees and butterflies. By layering new native plantings into a well-used civic space, the garden supports biodiversity while maintaining a clean, welcoming landscape for library visitors.

Rhododendron (evergreen shrub, existing structure and shelter)
Foothills Sedge (Carex tumulicola) – year-round habitat and ground cover
Hardy Geranium (Geranium spp.) – long-blooming, pollinator-friendly perennial
Native flowering perennials (seasonal nectar sources for bees and butterflies)
Low-growing native shrubs (added for layered habitat and visual interest)
