It has been a challenge finding the best locations to ensure the plantings thrive, especially in the lawn - turned to meadow areas. Asteraceae varieties are doing their job in the meadow. Our bee hives are in the meadow and we enjoy seeing them the bee balm, mint, asters etc. The main lawn area had sparse grass and sandy soil. Reseeding with clover has improved this area greatly.

A delightful surprise was finding Witch Hazel shrubs throughout the property.
