Our pollinator-friendly rain garden suffered some damage when we needed to move forward with construction to replace an unsafe structure on the property. We used several pollinator-friendly native plants in the landscaping of the new design, though! We also have a garden reconstruction almost completed as a memorial to a beloved former library director. We used many native plantings, and are creating an ADA compliant garden box. We are excited to also be a registered Monarch Waystation and have successfully observed many monarch hatchings in the last few years. Our library patrons, young and young at heart love sharing in the excitement!
Goldenrod, Spiderwort, Lupine, Hydrangea, Spirea (some are native), and milkweed are some of the natives planted on our property. We also have Yucca, but we are not sure if it is a native type.
