Church Street Gardens

Church Street Gardens are the raised planting beds along Church Street and at the corner of Fullerton Avenue, tended by the Garden Club of Montclair. Members plant and maintain through the summer and fall, turning downtown Montclair into an oasis for residents and visitors. The Business Improvement District partners with the club, supplying funds and maintenance assistance during the growing season.

 

In the Spring of 2024, the Club changed all the beds to native plants, adding shrubs and perennials, as well as non-native annuals to provide continuous color.

 

Designed by color, each bed contains a majority of a single color of native plantings: pink, purple, red-yellow, and white.
