Cottonwoods, willows, maples, currants, milkweeds, goldenrod, asters, rabbitbrush, native grasses, Indian Paintbrush, fringed sage, sunflowers, rocket larkspur, penstemons, etc.
Edson Fichter Nature Area is owned by the state of Idaho and managed by Idaho Fish and Game. The nature area lies adjacent to the Portneuf River and is naturalized with native grasses, trees, willows and forbs. A Monarch Waystation pollinator garden has been planted with milkweeds, asters, goldenrod, gaillardia, rocket larkspur, fringed sage, Rocky Mountain bee plant and many others. The pollinator garden area is maintained by volunteers from the High Desert chapter of the Idaho Master Naturalists.
