Fox Point Community Garden

256 Power St, Providence, RI 02906, USA

This is a space in the Fox Point Community Garden dedicated to native pollinator friendly plants. The space was once overgrown with nuisance plants, such as mint, irises, and day lilies. I started removing them 2 years ago and replacing them with native plants. I received locally collected seeds from a friend; winter sowed them and planted most plants last year. They had a slow start, but this year they are growing vogorously and looking beautiful. Our garden beehives love the variety of flowers, as do the local bumblebees and butterflies.
