Six flower beds in my backyard were modified to include more native plants. Beds range from full sun to shade.
New plants include Bush Honeysuckle, New Jersey Tea, Golden Alexander, Big Leaf Aster, Broad-leafed Goldenrod, Showy Goldenrod, Purple Coneflower, Butterfly Milkweed, Purple Prairie Clover, Sky Blue Aster, Scarlet Bee Balm, Blue False Indigo (Baptista), sedges, Side Oats Grama, Spotted Cranesbill Geranium, Hay-scented Fern, Ox-eye False Sunflower, Showy Sunflower, Lance-leaf Coreopsis, and Hoary Vervain. Pre-existing Serviceberry bushes are enjoyed by the Robins.
