Ivy Drive School is a public elementary school located at 160 Ivy Drive in Bristol, CT. Our school campus is adjacent to Kern Park, which is currently undergoing trail enhancements and park restoration efforts, providing our students and families with access to a revitalized natural learning environment. Ivy Drive School is home to two large outdoor courtyards that serve as our school gardens. These spaces include raised garden beds that are maintained by our school community through a partnership supported by the Connecticut Farm to School Grant. In addition to our outdoor gardens, Ivy Drive School features hydroponic gardens inside the cafeteria, allowing students to monitor plant growth, sample vegetables and herbs grown at school, and make direct connections to our science and STEM curriculum. As we revamp our garden initiatives for 2026, we are excited to expand our programming to include a Pollinator Pathway container garden at the front of our school for the entire community to enjoy. With our ample outdoor space and established courtyard gardens, Ivy Drive School is well positioned to become a local Pollinator Pathway site in Bristol, strengthening environmental stewardship and enriching hands-on learning opportunities for our students.
