Property is owned by the Oakland Beach Community Association. We currently have curb side gardens and the back 10 feet ( 10 x 70 ) garden spaces. Gardens have been built 2026 and incorporate a mix of natives and garden varieties leaning heavy on true natives ( New Enlgand Natives and Eastern Regional ) The Shed property at 735 Oakland Beach Ave is only visiable from the sidewalk unless occompied by a member of the association.
We have 2 other gardens within the village that we tend to and are incorporating native plants into the mix. Okaland beach Commons near the beach parking and the garden at the main interestion of Oaland Beach ave near the 711 store.
Beach Plum, Lace Leaf coreopsis, Wild Bergamont, American Spikenard, Dutchmans Breeches, Cardnial Flower, Cone flower, Hairy beard tongue, Blazing star, Giant Purple Hyssop, Eastern Pickly Pear, Cutleaf Cone flower, Pink Coreopsis ( Rosea), Small yellow Indigo. Red Beebalm ( Jacobs cline )
In the fall hopefully 2 Eastern Redbuds will be going in.
